Church Resources

The vision of YFC North East’s Church Resource Department is to serve the local church, right across the denominations, as it faithfully works with children and young people. The Department aims to provide all the necessary resources and support for effective Christian youth work - from evangelism through to discipleship.

Youth Workers so often find themselves asking:

• Where can I get fed?
• Where can I get help?
• Where can I get my next idea?

YFC North East’s Church Resource Department seeks to help with these basic needs.

Affirmation and encouragement
Youth workers thrive when they feel supported and understood. They sink when they become a lone ranger. Often the opportunity to ‘off-load’ and re-assess their ministry can best be done with someone from outside their church.

YFC NE can resource youth workers by offering retreats and conferences that give sufficient space and access to people who can advise.

YFC NE can also act as an effective catalyst to grow informal local support networks that build up trust and create an environment to share and pray with each other.

People resources
Often the key issue is not having enough ‘workers’ to fulfil the ‘vision’.

YFC NE can be key in advising on how to recruit and look after volunteers. Also, to resource local churches with gap year/apprentice youth workers and sports teams.

Practical Resources
Youth workers share a common trait: the need for the latest dynamic, instant programming resource. There is an abundance of quality resources available, which often go untested because of a lack of time and awareness of such resources.

YFC NE can advise and tailor programme resources to suit the requirements of the local church.

Church Resource is also strongly committed to supporting and nurturing local Youth Workers in their daunting task of reaching and keeping the younger generation for God.
