to reach out to young people in your community
The majority of 11-14 year-olds have never heard the good news of
Jesus in a way that is relevant to them. Rock Solid exists to share
the gospel through friendships, fun and interactive activities,
always including a challenge to respond. You’ll be amazed
at how quickly 11-14 year-olds join in and feel at home with the
activities and discussion groups. For many young people, Rock Solid
is the start of their journey to faith, and provides the foundations
for their growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Launched in the North East
It’s over ten years since Youth for Christ launched Rock Solid
– the UK’s first structured and supported termly evangelistic
programme for 11-14s- here in the north east. Since then, Rock Solid
has gained an excellent track record of helping hundreds of churches
across the country and into Europe to connect with this age group
in ways that are fun, relevant and exciting.
The material
Rock Solid has all the material you will need to run hour-long weekly
sessions that are fun, fast-moving, creative and inspiring to leaders
and young people alike. The hours you used to spend on preparation
can now be spent on building friendships with your group. Whatever
the size of your group, Rock Solid provides material that you can
easily adapt.
Rock Solid focuses the group around different core themes and issues
each week. Sessions include high-energy games and a variety of activities
and illustrations to encourage group discussion. ‘Thought’
sections put forward a helpful and biblical perspective to the session’s
topic, and each session is structured in a way that encourages interaction
between the young people and helps them build friendships.
