YFRIDAY’S LAST IXTH HOUR!!
7pm with special guest Mark Ritchie
Yes the time has finally come to see the parting of Yfriday and IXth Hour. We will be celebrating 16 amazing years of a wonderful partnership and looking forward to see what the future holds. Mark Ritchie and Yfriday are good old pals so who better to give them a pat on the back and send them lovingly from our IXth Hour arms?!
Mark is a passionate Scotsman who has travelled all over the world communicating about the cross. He mixes a unique blend of humour with the Gospel message. Mark's organisation, the 73rd Trust exists to engage the unchurched through relevant communication of the Gospel, to provide a resource to the church as it seeks to reach out and make a difference in this nation and to act as a support base for Mark, that will enable him to pioneer numerous and diverse channels of communicating the Gospel to today's generation. Mark is married to Tamzin and they have two children Jordan and Keziah and currently live in Nottingham.
As always Galactus Jack will also be joining us and drawing us into the evening. £5 on the door, doors open 6.30pm.
Although IXth Hour is aimed at young people aged between 13 and 20 please do invite others from your churches if you think they would be interested in hearing any of our speakers.

Past IXth Hours -
Sunday 16th May at Whitley Bay Playhouse with Mark Ritchie
IXth Hour started many moons ago in the seaside town of Whitley Bay and we had a great night revisiting our roots with Mark Ritchie and Yfriday. We were looking at what it is we feel we need rescuing from in our own lives and here are some of your responses –
- relationships
- addictions
- peer pressure
- bad home situations
Our panel tackled these hard, but very real, issues to and gave some guidance as to how to try and cope in such challenging situations. Then Mark, as ever, spoke passionately about how it is only God that can rescue us.
Don’t forget to pray for the Lionsraw gang who are all going out on 12th June to Durban, South Africa for two weeks during the World Cup. The team will operate in ‘The Valley of a Thousand Hills', the epicentre of the World's HIV / AIDS crisis. Alongside existing local charities the team will help in construction projects and soccer academies for deprived local children during the day. Each evening the squad will retire to our fanzone for the full world cup tour experience.
HARVEST - Wednesday 18th - Sunday 22nd August 2010
Harvest attracts around 1,000 young people from the North (and beyond) each year to a creatively constructed tent city in our new site in Teesside. Harvest gives young people (ages 12 to early 20’s) a unique opportunity to connect with God over 5 days, away from the usual distractions of home, work, school or college. Harvest continues to be used by God to impact thousands of lives.
In August 2009 many young people from all over the North East and braved the wind to spend time with God, to get to grips with the bible and to worship. Young people were equipped to go back to school, workplaces and churches ready to make a difference. Over 70 young people committed their lives to Jesus and many more went deeper with God.
The line-up for this year is looking amazing –
Yfriday / thebandwithnoname / The Gentlemen / The Naughty Vicars / Gavin Calver /
Ben Jack / Dave Newton / Ruth Valerio / Amy Burns
